We are a small team of local trackers and naturalists who grew up alongside the elephant herds of Sigiriya.

Most safari operators in Sigiriya see elephants as a business. We see them as neighbours.
Hasthi Trails Sigiriya was founded with a single mission: to offer an honest alternative to the mass-market, crowded jeep safari. We were tired of seeing jeeps crowd the animals and operators sell tickets to parks where the elephants had not been seen for weeks.
We believe in tracking the herds properly, reading the environment, and placing you where you can watch natural behaviour without disturbing it.
Honest advice
If a park is quiet this week, we say so and point you to a better one.
